My research aims at developing actionable social psychological knowledge that addresses complex issues in contemporary societies. Some issues I have studied are: the psychological health just like physical exercise is good for our physical health. Yet, art and culture are more like an acquired taste that people are often reluctant to engage in. My research focuses on understanding the process of how and why people engage and develop a liking in and devotion to art and culture.
