研究興趣
I am broadly interested in motivation and self-regulation. In daily life, individuals often need to regulate themselves to resist temptations and persist in order to achieve something bigger in the long run. I study how self-regulation plays a role in promoting personal achievement and social relationships. My recent research focuses on self-regulation processes within dyads. Goal coordination can be unproductive and even create frictions between partners. Using both longitudinal and experimental studies, I explore how romantic partners can improve their coordination with each other to increase personal and relational outcomes.
