Research Interests
My research mainly focuses on mental health promotion, prevention of common mental disorders, stigma of social minorities, and personal recovery of mental illness. I am particularly interested in developing bite-size or low intensity psychological practices to promote human flourishing, increasing access of evidence-based practices to the public through technology, and customizing solutions/ strategies for each individual’s mental health needs. My team is also investigating how Buddhism-derived constructs (i.e., mindfulness, compassion, interconnectedness) may be applied towards the promotion of social justice and collective well-being and understanding their mechanisms of change in order to cultivate these qualities in the community.
