Research Interests
My general research agenda is to examine cognitive and sociocognitive correlates of language and literacy development across diverse linguistic and cultural settings. Many of the projects I am involved in are conducted in collaboration with a group of colleagues in both Western and Asian countries. Additionally, I have a keen interest in the diagnosis and remediation of learning difficulties in elementary school children. Through my research projects, I have employed a variety of research designs and methodologies (including psycholinguistic experiments and individual/group interventions), collected longitudinal and cross-sectional data, and used single- and multi-language samples.
